Inventory Migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365
The goal of this project is to migrate Mayk Ideas' inventory data from an Excel spreadsheet into a robust database within Microsoft Dynamics 365, utilizing the Power Platform. This migration will involve repurposing an existing inventory system, such as Field Services, or other relevant services and apps within Dynamics. The project team will take the existing dataset and design and adapt it to fit the necessary tables, fields, and relationships within the Dynamics system. This project will provide learners with hands-on experience in data migration, database design, and the use of enterprise-level software solutions, allowing them to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world scenario. Key tasks include: - Analyzing the existing Excel inventory data. - Designing the database schema in Dynamics 365. - Mapping and migrating the data to the new system. - Testing and validating the migrated data. - Documenting the migration process and any customizations made.
