Bio

Hi, I’m Housam Alamour, a passionate and results-driven Software Engineer who blends creativity, logic, and precision to build solutions that make an impact. I believe technology should feel effortless and empowering, and I take pride in transforming complex challenges into simple, elegant systems that people enjoy using. Currently completing my Bachelor of Software Engineering at McMaster University with a GPA of 3.7 and Dean’s Honour List standing, I’ve built a strong foundation in full stack development, cloud computing, and DevOps.

At Red Hat, I design and develop secure, high performance platforms using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL, helping businesses automate workflows and deliver faster digital experiences. My previous internship at Red Hat allowed me to dive deep into performance engineering, where I enhanced kernel level tracing tools with C and Python and earned the Red Hat Outstanding Intern Award for building features that improved reliability and productivity across teams.

I thrive at the intersection of creativity and engineering. Whether leading the MES ERP financial platform for 60 student groups or organizing university tech events, I bring curiosity, structure, and collaboration to everything I do. I’m eager to contribute to projects that combine innovation, storytelling, and technology to create something meaningful and lasting.

Website Development

Our company advertises thousands of products online. We hope to update and revamp our existing website to attract more customers. We would like to work with students to develop a new website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users. This can be achieved through common site building tools such as Wix, Webflow, and WordPress. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching different site-building tools and their associated advantages / disadvantages. Conducting a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable. Building a website, with our assistance in providing the content. Providing training on updating and maintaining the website. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Testing prototypes with customers and refining ideas with feedback.

Website Data Dashboard Integration

(1) Project’s Main Objective and Goals Enable App Inc aims to enhance its new Service Portal by developing and integrating a modern, data-driven dashboard that transforms complex backend information into a clean, visual, and interactive user experience. The project’s objective is to design and build a responsive dashboard interface that connects to the portal’s database and APIs to display meaningful summaries of customer and asset data. Students will gain hands-on experience in both backend and frontend development. They will build RESTful APIs for data retrieval and filtering, design reusable UI components, and implement interactive charts, tables, and visual indicators using modern frameworks such as Angular or React. The dashboard will allow users to search, filter, and explore data seamlessly on desktop and mobile devices, updating dynamically as new information is added to the system. By completing this project, students will deepen their understanding of full-stack web development, API integration, and data visualization principles, applying industry-standard practices to deliver a live, production-quality feature used in a real enterprise portal.
