Lanette Ware-Bushfield is a multi-award-winning producer, writer, and performer whose work uplifts underrepresented voices with nuance and heart. A 2025 RBC Women of Influence Nominee and recipient of Best Executive Producer accolades from both the Black Actors and Film Guild of Canada (BAFGC) and the International Black Diversity Film Festival (IBDFF), she is the founder and CEO of A WWB Production Inc.—a television and film company committed to bold, affirming storytelling.
A Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio and alumna of the London Academy, Lanette holds a BA in Drama and has studied Cinematic Language at Toronto Film School. Her early training in music and writing began in New York City, where she was hired for her first commercial at age three and later attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.She is a TIFF Series Accelerator and Anthony Q. Farrell Bootcamp alum, a Share Her Journey and Donette Chin-Loy Chang Fellow, and an award-winning playwright whose work premiered in Toronto in 2024. Lanette’s published writings appear in outlets like The Globe and Mail, Dreamers, and Mothering Magazine. Passionate about mentorship, she’s taught in schools across Toronto, Vancouver, and New York.
