Executive Assistant & Project Support
The goal of this project is to enhance the efficiency of executive support tasks at Mayk Ideas by leveraging automation and business intelligence tools. The project focuses on streamlining calendar management, project coordination, and reporting processes. Students will apply their knowledge of business administration and technology to design and implement workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI. By optimizing these processes, the project aims to reduce manual effort and improve the accuracy and timeliness of information available to the executive team. This project provides an opportunity for learners to gain practical experience in process automation and the application of BI tools in a real-world business context.

Inventory Preparation for E-Commerce: Automotive Parts Data Standardization and Market Analysis
This project focuses on the critical task of cleaning and standardizing approximately 9,000 automotive parts records, which include units, subcomponents, armatures, drives, cores, and endplates. These records are spread across seven spreadsheets and require meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistency and accuracy. The goal is to streamline the data to facilitate efficient inventory management and enhance the e-commerce platform's functionality. Students will apply their classroom knowledge of data management and analysis to assign unique SKUs, ensuring each part is easily identifiable. Additionally, the project involves scraping or developing a scraper to gather market data, which will inform pricing strategies and assembly processes. This will include collecting information on pricing, conditions, and OEM cross-references, such as Bosch and Delco numbers. The project is designed to be completed in two parts, with the initial focus on data cleaning, allowing students to build a strong foundation before moving on to market data analysis.

Accounting/Bookkeeping Support
This project immerses learners in the role of an accounting technician or bookkeeper within a Canadian small to medium-sized business (SMB) context. Participants will engage in tasks such as bank reconciliations, payroll ledger reviews, vendor invoice processing, and general bookkeeping. The goal is to provide a practical introduction to Canadian financial documentation standards, compliance expectations, and workflow practices. Learners will gain hands-on experience in applying their international accounting knowledge to Canadian-specific systems and practices. This project supports the Bridging Program’s objectives by offering context-rich opportunities for learners to master the nuances of Canadian accounting procedures. The project is designed to be completed by a team of learners, offering a focused and intensive learning experience.
