We are true hybrids - domain experts & analysts who specialize in collaborating with business users and senior leaders to gather requirements and brainstorm solutions.
Our team is seeking a candidate, candidates or a team with knowledge about AI/machine learning, data science, databases to support 1 or more of the following projects in order to help us solve or derive insights and a strategy into how to overcome certain challenges.
Project 1 is to incorporate AI into the marketing process – specifically a) elements of the brief-writing process and b) digital asset search, classification and identification and digital asset use optimization based on preferences.
- Building a tool that generates creative briefs, based on provided data inputs and scans of previous briefs, the tool should be able to identify and predict the appropriate workflow, roles and timelines for new projects as they arise
- Building a digital asset (image) search, classification function (AI tagging) that can identify and assign assets to creative projects based on perceived “need”, likeability, and optimization (memory of what was “liked”, rated and ranked previously). An initial vetting would be required of an extensive image bank/library to determine what’s been used, what was liked, ranking options, which assets best fit a campaign would improve the efficiency.
Key Steps/Deliverables:
- Review data and process related to brief writing and digital design asset search and development procedures
- Design and create (or program a tool) to generate certain portions of creative briefs and classify assets during search
Project 2. AI Matching. We need to figure out whether or how an automated/machine learning tool (or tools) could serve as a “matching” engine as we sift through data. The data consists of lead targets––collected via research as well as discussions with target companies––and must be matched with criteria that indicate synergy between the company/individual and other companies, based on their attributes. It’s kind of like a dating app, but for companies, and it would include some behavioural attributes.
The automated tool(s) must be able to sift through large quantities of details (key characteristics) from a list of gathered contacts with attributes/themes of value to another party/company, including whether to identify them as a buyer, seller, merger or network candidate etc. At the moment we have data from approximately 600 companies to match, and more will be added on an ongoing basis. Examples of matching criteria include Company or Organization Size, Company or Organization Revenue.
Project 3. We are interested in building out a knowledge base to use for the Mayker/talent journey while at Mayk. We would be very interested in having the student work with Microsoft azure and dynamics based technologies to help us figure out how to provide self service options; employee progression and performance journeys based on objectives and key results.
Project 4. We are interested in big data analytics related to a formal messaging model – which includes various content types – social, web, intranet and email channels and its underlying copy and design. The project should provide the theoretical appreciation but a practical solution and so that we can build out a phased out model to transition and deploy.

- Working towards a degree in a technical or IT subject or experience from a related role.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, strong problem-solving capacity, attention to detail, team player; excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, flexibility, adaptability and initiative. (Big list yes... but we know you got the goods!)
- Understanding of relational databases and digital soup.

Resources provided: Our team will provide the data, a sandbox, any current classification systems in place. Additionally, there will be dialogue with the IT team and subject matter (marketing and creative team) experts.
