telecommuting mental healthThe Refresh Wellness platform will be launching as a mobile app at the end of December, 2022. Before we can release the app we need to complete a full review of the language and copy to ensure it's accessible for our target users.
The goal of this project is to complete a review of the language/copy in the Refresh Wellness app to offer changes and suggestions before we launch the app publicly.
Project tasks will be:
- Reviewing all language and copy used on all screens of the Refresh Wellness app
- Suggesting emotion synonyms for the journal screens
- Editing language/copy to reflect an 6th-8th grade reading level
The student(s) will be expected to participate in the creation of their work plan to leverage their individual skills and support their personal career goals.
The definition of done for this project is completing a full review of all screens of the Refresh Wellness app. These screens include but are not limited to:
- Login/registration
- Journals
- Journal insights
- Content/educational resources
- Community contacts and resources
- Private profile
- Settings
The deliverables:
- Documentation of suggested language edits to be made across the app
- A list of 3-5 synonym words for the six emotion categories in the journal screens
Over the course of this project, the student(s) will gain real-world experience working remotely with a company. The student(s) will be invited to participate in regular check-in meetings and social events while developing their professional skills.
Students will work closely with Refresh’s project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
Project participants will have access to the Refresh Slack channel for internal communications as well as a designated Google Drive folder to organize their work.
Refresh Inc. is a completely remote workplace, allowing students to work around their existing school hours and responsibilities.

The Refresh Wellness Platform (RWP), developed by Refresh Inc. (http://refreshinc.com/), employs the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to generate real-time, personalized, and responsive solutions to individual wellness needs. The RWP can assist both individuals and organizations by monitoring their well-being. It also incorporates daily measurements of the individual’s state of well-being and forms a log that presents progress reports on how the individual is doing over the weeks, months or years. This aids the individual in seeing patterns within their state of wellbeing and assists them in understanding what could be triggering, but also what is beneficial for them. In an organizational setting, the RWP can monitor teams and provide anonymous information regarding the organization's well-being.
